Get the ball rolling again Chris!

Baxter & Leo share food
Munch time
See the thing is...
I need to be busy so that I stop procrastinating and turning into a vegetable. Once I find things to do that I'm passionate about there's no stopping me.

I sat in the garden over the weekend watching my bubs race around the garden in the sunshine. I live in a predominently Greek area, although I must say that the community as a whole is pretty cosmopolitan. I closed my eyes and listened to the Greek accordion music that wafted over from the town centre & imagined I was somewhere in Greece in a small village where the men were talking over cups of coffee & the children were running up and down the streets playing. have another holiday somewhere warm. It's been damn cold here lately...guess winter's finally setting in.

Turns out Leo isn't a fussy cat. He eats pretty much anything that we put down in front of him. It's a nice change to already having a fussy cat & fussy dog. The rabbits aren't much've got to cut their food up into little pieces otherwise they won't eat it.

I'm taking a guide dog who belongs to one of the uni students I see at work, to the vet with me bright and early on Thursday morning. Leo's getting his vaccination & Cotton is being snipped to prevent her from being so feral!

Seems my life revolves around the animals these days. But I don't mind because they bring so much joy to my life.

Luv ma bubs!

Chilling out with the bubs...

My handsome boy.
I haven't had much time to sit down & write because I've been consumed by all sorts of projects. I'm working on my website, sorting through junk in the house, doing this Wishbone stuff, spending time with the bubs to try & keep them all happy now that we've got our additional member! Leo's sitting on my lap right now purring away. He's a very 'ppl person' kitty...very affectionate...loves check out what you're doing or eating!

I'll be enrolling in an animal care course very soon...I see it as a start towards something new. I guess you could say I've found my calling when it comes to what I want to do in life. Sure it'd be nice to do volunteer work for animal welfare organisations, but unfortunately the rent & bills need to be paid.

I'm feeling worn out from a busy day at work today so I think I'll have a long hot shower to wash away the stress.

I've been neglecting you all...not good for a 'People person' you're gonna have to disregard the dates that are above the entries that I've written. Because I write when I feel like writing, which isn't on a day to day basis.

My head's still choc full of ideas. Les & I had a long in depth talk about the legalities regarding intellectual property. I dunno how it goes when you are doing work for a volunteer organisation...maybe it's different? I'll be getting in touch with IP Australia online ppl to suss it out.

It's dawned on me that I've been neglecting my friends...well, yeah, it's been eating at me for awhile. So...HI to everyone. I know you've all been busy...I've been busy too. It's all a matter of being able to give you my undivided attention. If I were to catch up with you now it would be like I'm not really with you because my mind would be wondering. I'll wait until I've lightened my plate.

Hope you are are healthy & happy

Here are some pics of our new edition to the family. We've named him 'Leopold'...guess it'll be Leo for short. At just 8 wks old he's a very friendly fellow. He already gets along with Baxter & Rikku. I'm quite impressed because he's already toilet trained & eats all his food. At night he snuggles up to Les or myself, right on our pillows near our heads. The other night he drooled in my ear! I didn't know cats could this normal?

I have a feeling that we're all gonna get along just fine

Today Les & I went over to Ormond to help paint the Wishbone Canine Care centre. Sherry's picked out the funkiest colours for the walls. Pink, purple, Mango, Light Blue & citrus lime. We met up with other volunteers & had pizza for lunch. Can't wait till the place is's gonna look fantastic!

I should stay away from Animal shelters & pet shops. If I don't I'll end up with so many new pets in the house! We went to the Keysborough shelter to drop off big bags of dog food & while we were there we said hi to the dogs & cats. There were these 2 really cute Jack Russell Terriers. I don't now how anyone can part with a JR. They're the spunkiest dogs. While walking through the cat enclosure we saw some kittens. I had my eye on this fluffy tortoiseshell one. I gave Les that look that says 'They're so cute...can we get one?' I had a play with them & we brought Rikku in to say hi too. She seems to get along well with cats in general. Although I don't know if that can be said for the cats! Turns out the tortoiseshell cat didn't like Rikku. There was another fluffy boy who wasn't so scared of her & he was more timid than the other we took him home with us.

We've named the new kitty 'Leopold' b/c he looks like a Leopold...I think. He isn't as timid as Baxter was when he was a that I mean he didn't wedge himself into a small corner & stay there for hours. Leo roamed about & said hi to Rikku & Baxter, although for some reason Baxter's terrifed of him, even though he's about a tenth the size of him. We'll introdude him to the bunnies later. Cotton's going a bit feral chasing the dog & cat. She's really got it in for Baxter, chasing him & growling & scratching. She's also becoming really destructive...chewing, digging, scratching... I think it's time for someone to go to the vet to be desexed!

I'm gonna go hug my new kitty now...
